Dr. Rose Jacob is a Senior Lecturer of Social Work at Universiti Sains Malaysia. She has almost 30 years of experience as a Social Worker (practitioner) with the Department of Social Welfare Malaysia prior to her current position. She has been working directly with the grassroots, vulnerable groups and the marginalized and also in the administration and training of social work. She has served as Principal of Rehabilitation Centers for women and girls involved in prostitution and for the disabled. She has published a few books, her latest being “The Voices of Prostitutes”. She has also presented papers at various International Conferences. Dr. Rose is a Registered and licensed Counselor with the Board of Counselors Malaysia
